There has been much discussion and debate about robotics, the emergence of autonomics and their impact on Global Sourcing. Will robots render moot where in the world a process is performed? Will they eliminate, enhance, or have no impact upon the proposition for outsourcing? Examining the evolution of Google’s Self-Driving Car as a handy analogy, we consider how the Business Case for robots may be viewed and some of the lessons learned – so far.
